Sometimes there’s a painfully obvious spot for one of these. bosses so I feel like I have to have one or two when the bosses come calling, but I never get the impression that they’re critical.Ĭoncussion - Highly dependent on the map layout. I think this is supposed to be especially good vs. Laser - I pretty much regard this as flavor as well. Inferno - doesn’t seem to me like they do anything that a Meteor wouldn’t do better Teslas - don’t see much point in them honestly for reasons others have already enumerated. She keeps wanting me to build something beefier but I feel that guns are reliable and general purpose, though ever since I read that developer’s blog that said that level 1 guns were underpowered, I always do the first upgrade for them as soon as possible. Beautiful environments, spectacular effects, and a dynamic, engaging soundtrack bring the. Strategically place your towers to prevent alien enemies from stealing your power cores. Guns are my staple too, which annoys my wife who likes to watch me play this game (and not much else). Defense Grid: The Awakening is the definitive Tower Defense game that’s easy to pick up, engrossing to play, and hard to set down for players of all skill levels. I hate having to build Missile towers because it bugs me that they’re only useful against flyers, so I prefer using Cannons and regular Guns against flyers whenever possible. Same here, except that I do use Cannon towers, especially in areas where their extended range allows them to cover different parts of a looping path. I ignore all the other towers, pretty much. Concussion if there’s somewhere worthwhile for it to go. One or two Missiles if the map calls for it, and some lasers for flavour. Defense Grid: The Awakening is a strategy game designed to be the definitive tower defense game experience designed specifically for Xbox LIVE Arcade.

My solution, or hacky work-around, was to change the location of the character models from "Character\." to "Creature\." and update the CreatureModelData.DBC file to reflect this. UPDATE 2: Of course I'd figure out a solution 10 minutes after posting questions in every forum I could find. Maybe it's a residual effect from anti-cheat mechanics? In fact, changing even 1-bit of superficial information in the hex code of any patched-in character. These clients are pre-installed so all you should need to do is extract them from the zip file and update your realmlist to the server of your choice. The stuttering thing even happens with the original low-poly character models ported down from WotLK or up from Classic, or even just switching M2s from the very same client just renaming DraeneiFemale.m2 to BloodElfMale.m2 and placing it in the Character/BloodElf/Male/ directory causes the same hiccup to occur when the client loads BloodElfMale.m2. Here you can find different sources of downloads for the World of Warcraft Burning Crusade expansion, specifically patch 2.4.3. UPDATE: Something about the BC client itself seems to not jive with any patched-in character model (works fine with creature models). I had similar issues myself, but figured it was because my computer is very old and stuttery anyway. Thanks for the report, I'll have to investigate. Incorporated Cone of Cold fix into my Cohesive Druid Forms mod compatibility patch for 2.4.3 Added some missing particle textures on a couple shoulder items. Fixed some goblin NPC textures in Cosmowrench. Adjusted sitting position on mounts for many character models (most were sitting a little too low), added NPC goblin hairstyles and facial features Made DK eyes glow through partially transparent helms, made Human Female cameras work with 3D portrait addons Fixed a random crash caused by a particular helm (BC), adjusted Tauren Male capes to prevent clipping, adjusted a few things in the Draenei Redesign Fixed a random crash bug related to textures, fixed Night Elf Male teeth not showing, added missing sounds for various emotes, added a new hairstyle to my optional redesigned Draenei male Added Cataclysm Goblin NPCs, integrated better faces/helms/shoulders into the CL, BC versions of the mod. Fixed fishing animations for BEM, GnM, GnF, OrM, TaF Adjusted Blood Elf Male mounted sitting position, fixed opacity issue in Blood Elf Female glove and boot cuff geosets, modified HelmetGeosetVisData.dbc to prevent a few helmets from hiding Undead facial features Adjusted Blood Elf Males' held weapon positions. Fixed some helms/shoulders that were rendering too dark. Included Optional Boneless Undead patch with download. Improved Wrathful Gladiator's Chain Helm positioning for Blood Elves. improved facial textures, helmets/shoulders, etc.) Added WotLK version with many improvements (i.e. Cone of Cold hack fix added TBC character emote sounds added Corrected Undead Female model (initially uploaded wrong version which had transparent fingers and no eye-glow effect) Sheath/unsheath emote doesn't work on some models (CL, BC only) Note: This does not work on retail WoW Classicĭownload for Wrath of the Lich King (v3.3.5a) Optional Boneless Undead (image), Optional Draenei Redesign (image) Includes TBC character models, includes NPCs, includes Cataclysm Goblins, includes HD helms/shoulders This adds Warlords of Draenor character models to the game. A friend of mine, Joe Hewitt, used to be at Facebook and did the first hybrid app and did a very good integration. If you read between the lines, what it seemed he was saying is what they tried to do was hybridize native and HTML, and when you do that there's always a seam between the systems. But this will take several years.īrendan Eich, the CTO of Mozilla, an organization betting on web technologies, has a different take on Facebook’s failure with HTML5, according to ZDNet: Over the next several years, these operating systems will stabilize and innovation will slow at this level, making a standards approach more feasible. The race for market share is driving a tremendous amount of change and innovation at the device operating system level. This dynamic is very true for the current mobile device platforms. The best apps and the most ground-breaking innovation at this stage therefore happen very close to the OS. Historically when a new OS is introduced, the capabilities are so new that the only way to exploit them is at the OS level. Mobile innovation is still moving at lightening speed, far outpacing the velocity that a ‘standards’ approach can ever achieve. In a comment for InfoQ, Nat Friedman, CEO of Xamarin, maker of tools for building cross-platform native apps, welcomed Facebook’s move: “This shift to embracing native experiences is a great thing for the entire mobile ecosystem - device manufacturers, app publishers, and most importantly, consumers.” He also noted that it is too early for mobile standards to emerge: Some of these issues have already been submitted to the W3C Web Performance WG. Other issues mentioned by Langel were: the GPU, which comes as “a black-box”, the need for better touch tracking support on Android, smoother animations, and better caching. Perf issue with touch events on Android devices (latency, not enough events) which makes JS implementations of scrolling more brittle there. JS implementation end up being tailored for one OS and feels wrong on other ones (uncanny valley). Native momentum scrolling has a different feel across operating systems. GPU buffer exhaustion due to size of content and number of images. Inconsistent frame rates, UI thread lag (stuttering). Langel would like to know the memory usage for heap, objects, GPU buffers, and information on GC cycles, FPS, and other resource limits.Īnother issue with HTML5 remarked by Langel was scrolling performance, mostly done with JavaScript because “other options were not fast enough”, noting: GPU buffer exhaustion? Reaching resource limits? Something else? Hard to say. Unfortunately, it's difficult for us to understand exactly what's causing these issues. Given the size of our content, it's not uncommon for our application to exhaust the hardware capabilities of the device, causing crashes. The biggest issues we've been facing here are memory related. The lack of tooling in mobile browsers makes it very difficult to dig down and find out what the real issues are. The first problem Langel mentioned was the lack of debugging tools: Tobie Langel, a Facebook software engineer and W3C AC Representative, detailed in a post the performance issues encountered by Facebook while building a mobile web presence based on HTML5. Zuckerberg did not say exactly what was their problem with HTML5, but he suggested the quality of such products was not good enough: “There are mobile experiences out there that are so good, that … we need to have the highest quality, and the only way is doing native.” Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Facebook, has recently declared during an interview for TechCrunch that “the biggest mistake that we made as a company is betting too much on HTML5 as opposed to native because it just wasn’t there,” and “since we’ve done the iOS app we’ve seen double the amount of feeds people consume.” This article contains technical details behind FB’s move, and reactions from Xamarin and Mozilla. Facebook has decided to go native for mobile content instead of doing HTML5 as it was the plan for a couple of years. They can be relatively inexpensive but dramatically improve your working from home set up, making you appear better presented and more professional. So don’t feel like it’s so 2002 to buy a webcam. Webcams built into laptops aren’t always the best quality - even Apple’s brand new $1,599 MacBook Air has a low-res potato of a camera. Either way, if everyone else’s stream is crisp and bright but you look like you’re in a dark, buffering dungeon then you need to consider a standalone webcam. And let’s not forget that if you use a PC monitor, it might not have a webcam at all. You may have found that not all laptop webcams are created equal. Part of this ‘new normal’ means there might be a few parts of your home tech set up that need upgrading. Now our devices are our lifeline to our professional lives as well as personal, and apps like Zoom have become necessary for morning status reports and evening catch ups with wine. Enjoy video calls on most devices as this webcam is compatible with Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows® 10, or later. We all love technology and our own personal devices, but none of us expected to have to rely on it quite so dramatically for work as well as play until the coronavirus pandemic hit. The webcam’s universal clip makes it easy to attach to your screen and the flexible angle offers greater user control. When you don’t have much control over the lighting, the RightLight Technology adjusts the lighting conditions to help produce brighter and clearer images. No matter who the call’s with, your voice will come across clearly, thanks to the built-in noise reducing mic. Suitable for use on video call platforms like Skype and Facebook, this webcam provides 30 frames per second of smooth video quality. 12824 Logitech C270 HD Webcam - 720P 79.95 79.95 AUD InStock /IT PHONES & GADGETS/COMPUTER ACCESSORIES/MISCELLANEOUS Make high definition video calls with this Logitech 720p HD Webcam.
